Day 55/Feb 24 - Pinwheel...

It is still raining and cold but I am just waiting for the spring, the time I like the best in US :)... flowers started showing up already... just waiting for a warmer temperature...

మనం పీల్చే గాలి, మన ప్రాణ వాయువు మనకి కనిపించదు, అది లేని క్షణం మనం లేము.. ఆకుల కదలికలో, ఆ చిరు సవ్వడిలో దాన్ని మనం తెలుసుకోవడమే.  నాకు కాగితం తోటి చేసేవి, చక్రం లాగా తిరిగేవి ఇలాంటివి భలే ఇష్టం, ఆ గాలిని మనకి ఒక ముచ్చటైన రూపంలో చూపెడుతూ..

నాకు ఈ చెక్క బొమ్మలు అంటే చాల ఇష్టం  కూడా,  అప్పుడు కేవలం అవి చూడటానికి ఆడటానికి నచ్చేవి, పెద్దయ్యే కో, వాటి గురించి తెలుసుకునే కొద్దీ, వాటి తయారీ చూడాలి, వాటిని తయారు చేసే వారి జీవితాలు చూడాలి, అందులో మార్పులు చూడాలి అని ఒక తెలియని కోరిక... ఎలాగైతేనేమి ఆఖరికి  పోయిన ఏడాది పని కట్టుకుని ఆ ఊరు ఎల్లి చూసి కొని తెచ్చుకున్నాను తనివి తీరా... అసలు ఎవరికైనా బహుమతులు ఇవ్వటానికి కూడా ఇంతకూ మించి ఉంటాయ అనేంత పిచ్చి ఇవంటే నాకు...

కాకపొతే నేను వెళ్ళినప్పుడు  జనాలు కరెంటు లేక చాల పాట్లు పడుతున్నారు, అందుకే బొమ్మలు ఎక్కువగా చెయ్యలేకపోతున్నట్టు చెప్పారు... ఈ మధ్య ఈనాడులో ఆర్టికల్ కూడా వేసారు.. బయట కొట్లలో కొన్నవాటికి వాళ్ళ దెగ్గర తెచ్చుకున్నడానికి ధరలో చాల చాల తేడా ఉంది... 

ఆ ఈలలూ బొంగరాలు రైలు బండి, లక్క పిడతలు.. చిన్నతనానికి పరుగులు పెట్టించేస్తుంటాయి  నన్ను.

మా చిన్నప్పుడు బంక మట్టితోటి చేసుకునే వాళ్ళం వాటిని, ఇప్పుడూ చెయ్యొచ్చు కాని అవి వాళ్ళు  పెట్టేసుకున్తారేమో అని భయం కదా...

Finally found these traditional moulds which can used to put design bottus for the kid

ఎప్పుడు చూసానో ఎక్కడ చూసానో తెలియదు కాని నాకు ఈ అచ్చులు కొని చిచ్కూ గాడికి ఎంచక్కా రకరకాల బొట్టు పెట్టి తయారు చెయ్యాలి అని భలే సరదా, పిల్ల పుట్టిన మూడేళ్లకి ఇప్పటికి కుదిరింది.... ఎక్కడ వెతికినా దొరకలేదు... పెద్ద పెద్ద గుళ్ళ దెగ్గర అమ్ముతారు అని చెప్తే పక్కింటి వాళ్ళు తిరుపతి వెళ్తుంటే వాళ్ళని పీడించి.. వాళ్లకి రకరకాలుగా ఇలా ఉంటాయ్ అలా ఉంటాయ్ అని చెప్పి తీసుకురాకపోతే ఇంటికి రాకండి అన్నట్టుగా చెప్పి తెప్పించుకున్నా ;).

I use my desktop calender to mark up some stuff.. and when I marked up some date on 6th, I thought of posting this pic on that date.

ఈ రోజు ఏదో క్యాలెండరు లో మార్కు పెట్టడానికి వెళ్లి, నెలకో మిన్ను పోస్ట్ చెయ్యాలి అని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాను.. తన క్యాలెండరు కొనలేని వాళ్లకి కూడా తన మెసేజ్ ఇవ్వాలి అని.

My new cane swing chair... ooh la laaa...

నాకు ఒక వింత పైత్యం ఉంది, నాకు ఏదైనా బాగా నచ్చి కొనుక్కోవాలి అనుకున్నప్పుడు అది నా దెగ్గర డబ్బులు ఉన్నా సరే కొనను, ఏదోకటి నా ఇష్టమైన పనిని/వస్తువుని మానుకుని ఆ డబ్బు దాచుకుని కొనుక్కుంటేనే అదొక సరదా .. అలాగ ఏదోకటి చెయ్యాలి చెయ్యాలి అనుకుంటూ దాచుకున్న డబ్బులతో పుస్తకాలు కోనేసుకుంటూ.. ఏదో లాగించేసా ఇన్నాళ్ళూ..


ఇప్పుడు కూడా నేను దాచుకుని కొనలేదు... OA  కి వల వేసి ;).. అంటే ఏమి లేదు లెండి మణులు అడిగాన మాణిక్యాలు అడిగాన అని గాలం వేసి కొనిపించుకున్నా.. ఎంచక్కా ఇందులో ఊగుతూ పుస్తకాలు చాడుకుంటుంటే ఉంటుందీ .. చెప్ప  లేని ఆ హాయి ఎంతో కమ్మగా ఉంటున్దోయి :).

I did not really think I would like an ipad but I must admit I do :).  Ipod is also something that I gradually got to like.. so it proves these things grow on me!!

చిచ్కూ గాడి ఆటలకి మాత్రమె ఉపయోగించాను ఇన్నాళ్ళు దీన్ని, ఇప్పుడు పుస్తకాలు చదువుతుంటే ఇది కూడా బాగానే ఉంది అనిపిస్తుంది...

పండు గాడి పేరు చెప్పి పండగ చేసుకోడం నాకు బాగా అలావాటైన పనే కదా :).. నాకు నచ్చినవన్నీ కొనేసుకుని వాడికి అని ఒక పేరు.  ఏదో నా సంబరం నేను తీర్చుకోడం కాకుండా నా ఇష్టాలు తన మీద రుద్దడానికి నేను చెప్పే కబుర్లు, కధలు.. అసలు ప్రపంచంలో వీటిని మించి బొమ్మలు ఉంటాయ అన్నట్లు కహానీలు... పాపం పిచ్చి కుంకడు చెప్పినవి ప్రస్తుతానికి నమ్మేస్తున్నాడు ;).

కైకులురు మీదగా బందరు వెళ్ళాలి అంటే మా ఊరు దాటి వెళ్ళాలి, బాబు ఎల్లె దార్లో మా ఊరుంది, తను వస్తాడు అని అనుకున్నాం కాని జనాలు తొక్కిడి ఎక్కువ ఉంటుంది ఎందుకొచ్చిన్దిలే అని గాంధీ బొమ్మ దెగ్గర అందరు TDP వాళ్ళు ఏదో బండి ఆపేద్దాం మాట్లాడిద్దాం అనుకున్నా నేను మటుకు ఎల్లలేదు, ఎలాగు ఇంటి ముందు నించే కదా అని ఆఖరికి ఊర్లోకోచ్చిన మోత విన్నాక వెళ్లి నిన్చున్నాం.. పండు గాడికి నాకు భలే చేతులూపాడు, మేము తన కోసం వెతుకుతుంటే, ఏ బండిలో ఉన్నాడో, ఎక్కడున్నాడో అని.. :).. భలే పండిన జామ్పండులాగా అనిపించాడు... నేను మటుకు ఫుల్లు ఫిదా :).

PS:  Like old wine, he is ageing beautifully :).  He looks so damn good in person, no photos/videos justify his physical presence!

గీత చదివి మన గీత మార్చుకోవడం అనేది ఎప్పటినించో నేను వింటున్న మాట, నేను చాల బాధగా ఉన్నప్పుడు విని తెరిపిన పాడేది కూడా ఇది వినే, ఘంటసాల గారి గొంతులో అమృతం పోసి మరీ పాడినట్లు ఉంటుంది, బాధ తీసి పెట్టినట్టు పోతుంది.  ఎలాంటి ప్రశ్నకైన అందులో దాగి ఉన్న సమాధానం తెలిస్తే చాలు అనిపిస్తుంది... మళ్ళీ వినడం మొదలు పెట్టాలి, చదవడం మొదలు పెట్టాలి అనుకుంటూ ఉన్న పుస్తకాలన్నీ పోగేసి చూసుకుని మురిసిపోవడమే కాని చదివిన విన్న పాపాన పోట్లేదు :(.

Day 316 ~ Nov 12 - SOS village

A prayer and news-sharing meet at SOS village where all the kids from the 12 families assembled.. a memorable evening with kids and my kid.

వట్టి నాగులపల్లి దెగ్గర ఉన్న ఈ చోటు చాల ప్రశాంతంగా ఉంది.. పిల్లలు అందరు భలే సంతోషంగా ఆడుకున్నారు చిచ్కూ గాడితోటి.. నాకు ఈ ఊరు, ఈ కాన్సెప్ట్, అన్ని చాల నచ్చేసాయి.. ఆ రాకాసి ట్రాఫిక్ నించి బయటి పడి హైదరాబాద్లో ఇంట ప్రసాంతంగా ఉండటం ఇంకా ఇంకా నచ్చింది.

Day 313 ~ Nov 9 - Gurjari Memories

Stuff I used to love buying back in early 2000s.. now the place has just gotten smaller but the collection brings back nostalgia.

గుర్జరి అంటే అదొక రకమైన ఇష్టం నాకు, మొదట్లో నాకు జీతం వచ్చినప్పుడు నా ఇష్టం వచ్చినవి కొనుక్కోవాలి అన్నప్పుడు ఇక్కడే తెచ్చుకునేదాన్ని.. బట్టలు,ఫైల్స్, పూసలు... ఆ నాటి ఆ జ్ఞాపకాలెంతో మధురం.

మాయాబాజార్ సావిత్రి రెండు తెలుగు సినిమా వాళ్ళు ఎప్పుడు మర్చిపోలేని మధురానుభూతులు.. ఎంచక్కా భోన్చేస్తాప్పుడు ఆవిడ ముద్దు మొహం కనిపిస్తే ఇంకా చెప్పేదేమీ లేదు..

ఇది అని చెప్పలేను కాని నాకు ఈ కృష్ణ నది అంటే చాలా చాలా ఇష్టం, ఏదో కన్నా తల్లిని చూసినట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది.  వంతెన మీద వెళ్ళేటప్పుడు ఆ చల్లటి గాలి, ఆ నీటి వాసన, ఆ గల గల శబ్దం, అక్కడక్కడ కనిపించే ఇసక తెన్నలు....

Day 260 ~ Sep 17 - Z for Zipped

This is the cutest zip that I have ever set my eyes on.... behind my cute little bunny key chain!

ఈ బుల్లి బుజ్జి బన్ని అంటే నాకు చాల చాల చాలా ఇష్టం, నేను ఒంటి పిల్లి రాకాసిలాగా అమెరికాలో అపార్ట్మెంట్ గ్రౌండ్లో తిరిగుతూ ఉండేటప్పుడు ఇది నా తోడుగా ఉండేది.. ఇప్పుడు నా షిప్మెంట్ లో తిరిగి క్షేమంగా నా దెగ్గరకి వచ్చి చేరింది.

I got this bunny at an Easter sale at Michaels and this was my buddy during all my walks in the gated community in Mt. Vernon back in US :).

With this, I come to the end of Alphabet Theme pictures in this blog.. It was fun, challenging because it would have been easy if it had to be random posting but with a theme and to be able to associate an alphabet to life every day is not as it seems and like Usha says, after I am through with the alphabet, a lot more ideas pop up suddenly.

I would love to do one with Telugu alphabets some time, completely related to the village backdrop, exclusively.. maybe I will some time :).

Day 256 ~ Sep 13 - V for Variety

Since Mysore Sandal spells out Quality for soaps in our household, we do get some variety to not get bored of the same scent :) and still get the sandal benefit.

సబ్బు అంటే మైసూరు సాన్డిల్ అని మా అమ్మ గట్టి నమ్మకం... నాకు కూడా ఇష్టమే, దానితో వచ్చే ఈ డబ్బా అంటే కూడా ఇష్టమే.. సబ్బులు వాడేసాక పోపుల పెట్టేలాగా కూడా వాడుకోవచ్చు.. అమెరికాలో నేను అదే వాడేదాన్ని :).

Day 247 ~ Sep 4 - M For Movies

The latest to watch dvds from British Library... I don't quite like their collection and their platinum membership which is a gift to me, I think, is actually a waste considering the options available and my tastes and preferences :(.

సినిమా పిచ్చికి పరాకాష్ట నేను అనుకుంటా, ఎలాంటి సినిమా అయినా ఓపికగా సాంతం చూసి తరించే టైపు. :).  ప్రస్తుతం నేను చూడబోయే సినిమాలు ఇవే..

Day 183 ~ July 2 - A Very Special Gift

A very cute mutyaala jada which I fell in love with the moment I saw it on Keerthi HERE which she got custom made for Sreya.  Thanks a ton Keerthi, you know how much I really loved it.

నాకు కాస్త పైత్యం ఎక్కువ చిచ్కూ గాడి విషయంలో అని అందరి అభిప్రాయం, నిజమేనేమో కూడా లేకపోతె ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే మొలకలు కూడా రాని పండు గాడి జుట్టుకి ఈ వాలు జడ అవసరమా?  కీర్తి పెట్టిన ఈ బొమ్మ చూసినప్పటినించి దీని కోసం బెజవాడలో చాల తిరిగాను కాని ఎక్కడ దొరకలేదు, ఆఖరికి బొమ్మ పెట్టిన పాపానికి తనకి ఆ కొనిపెట్టే పాట్లు కూడా తప్పలేదు.
