a proof to say that some serious prep has been going on ;)...

నేను కొంచెం కష్టపడి తీసేది తియ్యాల్సింది ఈ ఒక్కసారె అనుకుంటా, ఊరు, ఊరి వాతావరణం అందులొ తెలుగు అక్షరమాల.. నిజంగానె నెను కొంచెం శ్రమ పడుతున్నా అనటానికి సాక్ష్యం.

Wk3/Dy6(20) ~ Jan 20 - On the Way

Started another stitch kit thing after a real long time.. just traced the outline of the shepherd on the way back home..!

నేను చేసే కుట్లు గట్రా ఎప్పుడో అటక ఎక్కిసినా అప్పుడప్పుడు మళ్ళీ చేస్తే బాగుండు అనిపిస్తుంది, ఈసారి కొంచెం తేలికైన దారిలో వెళ్లి ఇది మొదలెట్టా..

Week 2, Day 10 - Jan 10 ~ Vijayawada Book Exhibition

Yay, finally before the close tomorrow, I went to the place I look forward to go to each year, missed it last year due to multiple fractures :)

పుస్తకాలు నమిలి మింగేసే టైపు నేను.. అలాంటి నాకు పుస్తకాలన్నీ గుట్టలు గుట్టలుగా ఒకే చోట కనిపిస్తే ఇంకా చెప్పేదేముంది పెద్ద పండగ :).. ప్రతి ఏడు దీని కోసం భలే ఎదురు చూస్తాను నేను.

Rain played a spoil sport... but I did not give up.

మొత్తం రోజంతా తుప్పర పడుతూనే ఉంది.. ఉంది ఉంది వాన ఝాడించి కొట్టడం, మళ్ళీ తుప్పర పడటం.. అయినా సరే పట్టు వదలని విక్రమార్కుడి జాతి కదా మనది వదలలేదు...

Leaving English to Flipkart buys, just focused and bought Telugu books.

కొత్త పుస్తకాల వాసన అంటే పడి చచ్చే నాకు ఆహా ఓహో అమోఘం.

Week 1, Day 7 - Jan 7 - Quirky Collection

Collection currency :).

ఎప్పుడు మొదలయ్యిందో తెలియదు కాని, నాకు ఉహ తెలిసాక నా దెగ్గర ఉన్న కొత్త నోటు ని ఒక దాన్ని తీసి దాచిపెట్టేదాన్ని, అది వాడేదాన్నికాదు ఒకవేళ తీసినా అవసరం పడి మళ్ళీ ఏదో అప్పులోడికి బాకీ అన్నట్లు తిరిగి పెట్టేసేదాన్ని.. మళ్ళీ అవి పెట్టుకోడానికి ఒక పర్సు కూడా ఉండేది.. మొన్న తిరిగొచ్చిన నా సామాన్లలో అది కూడా వచ్చిందోచ్!

Day 247 ~ Sep 4 - M For Movies

The latest to watch dvds from British Library... I don't quite like their collection and their platinum membership which is a gift to me, I think, is actually a waste considering the options available and my tastes and preferences :(.

సినిమా పిచ్చికి పరాకాష్ట నేను అనుకుంటా, ఎలాంటి సినిమా అయినా ఓపికగా సాంతం చూసి తరించే టైపు. :).  ప్రస్తుతం నేను చూడబోయే సినిమాలు ఇవే..

Day 240 ~ August 28 - F For Fresh Paint

Freshly painted unused clay pot, waiting to dry up to be painted later on with designs

paint చేసిన తరవాత బాగానే ఉంటుంది కాని చేసేటప్పుడు, ఆ తరవాత బ్రష్లు కడిగేటప్పుడు, దానిని చిచ్కూ ముట్టుకోకుండా చూసేటప్పుడు మాత్రం సినిమా కనపడుతుంది. 

Day 210 ~ July 29 - Tulasi Kota

Readymade Tulasi Pot...  A reminder of amma, her daily routine!

తులసి కోట చూడగానే అమ్మమ్మ గుర్తొస్తుంది నాకు... సొంత ఇంట్లో పాల రాతితో ఒకటి కట్టించుకోవాలి అనేది నా చిన్ని పెద్ద కోరిక!  చాలా రోజులకి నర్సరీ లో కనిపిస్తే కొని తెచ్చేసా, రంగులు పోయాక మల్లె సుబ్బరంగా నేనే వేసుకుంటా :).

Just looking at a tulasi corner in any home, reminds me of ammamma, a tumbler full of water, a couple of incense sticks, a few flowers, folded hands and enormous peace on her face with her daily after bath morning ritual.

Day 208 ~ July 27 - Potted

and the mother daughter paint another pot :).

పని లేని మంగలాడు పిల్లి తల గొరిగాడు అని మా తాతీ అంటూ ఉండేవాడు, ప్రస్తుతం నేను చిచ్కూ అదే పని లో ఉన్నాం :)

I love all the not so fine art forms that we produce, the time spent doing it is what makes special I  guess!!

Day 207 ~ July 26 - Green!!

I go green with envy each time I see this green fence near the unused park near the mobile nursery.... gorgeous!

పురుగు పుత్రా అని భయం కాని లేకపోతె ఇలాంటిది ఒకటి పాకించేస్తే కంటికి ఎంత ఇంపుగా ఉంటుందో.

Day 205 ~ July 24 - Kotta Kundeelu

Fresh stock just arrived in the local mobile nursery that we have every year when the rains start... tempting!!!

కొత్త కుండీలు అంటే కుక్క పిల్లలాగ తోక ఊపెసుకుంటూ వెళ్ళిపోయాం నేను చిచ్కూ గాడు... మళ్ళీ కొన్ని మొక్కలు తెచ్చుకుని పెట్టేశాం :).

We got another bulk and filled the house :).

Day 193 ~ July 12 - Preparing a garden patch

With it raining, I decide to turn another patch green... so some ploughing, manuring and settling being done..

వానలు పడితే మొక్కలు పెట్టాలి అని ప్రతి వారం సంతలో ఎదురు చూసి చూసి వాళ్ళు రాక ఆఖరికి ఎలాగైతేనేమి మట్టి తవ్వి, ఎరువు వేసి నెల చదును చేసి అట్టిపెట్టాను.

Day 162 ~ June 11 - Taapee Mestri

Some minor repairs, obviously self-help :).

ఇందుగలడందు లేడు తరహా లో అన్నిట్లో కాళ్ళు వెళ్ళు పెట్టేసే నేను ఆఖరికి ఈ తాపీ పని కూడా మొదలెట్టేసా... నాపరాయి సందుల్లో సిమెంటు ఊడిపోయి అక్కడ నించి ఏ జెర్రి పిల్లో, పురుగో బయటికోచ్చేస్తుందేమో అని, కన్నం కనిపిస్తే వెళ్ళు పెట్టి కేలికేసే పండు గాడి ధాటికి తట్టుకోలేక అవన్నీ పూడ్చడం, ఏదైనా పెచ్చులూడితే సిమెంటు పామడం లాంటి పనులు చెయ్యడం అలవాటు ఐపోయింది నాకు.. ఈ రెండు రోజులనించి కూడా అదే కార్యక్రమం.. ఎవరినైనా పిలిచి చేయిన్చోచ్చుగా కక్కుర్తి ఎందుకు అంటారా, అదొక తుత్తి అంతే.

Day 143 ~ May 23 - Covered :)

పుస్తకాలు కొనడం చదవటం ఒక ఎత్తు ఐతే, వాటిని భద్రం చెయ్యడం ఇంకొక ఎత్తు, బైండింగ్ చేయిస్తే పుస్తకాలు బరువు పెరుగుతాయ్, మళ్ళీ అవేంటో కూడా సరిగ్గా అర్థం అయ్యి చావవు, కొంతకాలానికి పురుగు కూడా పట్టేస్తుంది తీయకపోతే.. సో చించి చించి ఈ ప్లాస్టిక్ కవేర్స్ వేసేశాను :).. తరవాత సంగతి తరవాత ప్రస్తుతానికి గడిచిపోతుంది.. ఆ షీట్ కొనడానికి, తెచ్చి అట్టలేయ్యడానికి నేను పాట్లు అయ్యో అయ్యో, ప్రతి సారి కొనడం కొన్నాక బస్లో మర్చిపోయి రావడం మూడు సార్లు జరిగాక చివరాఖరికి మొండిగా ఒల్లో పెట్టుకుని తెచ్చేసుకున్నా.. ఎలాగో చిచ్కూ గాడిని మాయ చేసి వాడి ముందే వేసేశాను.. హమ్మయ్య.. :).. ఇంకా నాలుగైదు గుట్టలు ఉన్నాయ్, తీరిక చూసుకుని చేసేస్తే ఇంకా కొన్నేళ్ళు మర్చిపోవచ్చు :).

Day 129 ~ May 9 - Parcel

Registered parcel or speed post... good to receive mail..

ఇక్కడ ఊర్లో ఇంగ్లీష్ పుస్తకాలు దొరకక తెప్పించుకుంటాను అప్పుడప్పుడు.. ఎప్పుడు కొన్న పుస్తకం మళ్ళీ మళ్ళీ నాకోసం మటుకు కొనుక్కోలేదు నేను.. కాని నేను చదువుకుంటూ ఆటో లో ఒక పుస్తకం వదిలేసా :(.. కాబట్టి మళ్ళీ తెప్పించుకుని మరీ చదువుతున్నా

Day 121 ~ May 1 - New Planters

My new unusual planters, the pickle jars :).

కాదేది మొక్కకి అనర్హం అని వాడకుండా వదిలేసిన ఎన్నో ఇలాంటి వాటిల్లో మొక్కలు యుద్ధ ప్రాతిపదికన పెంచేస్తున్నాం.. చూడటానికి పచ్చగా, ముద్దుగా ఉంటూ బోలెడంత కాలక్షేపం అయిపోతుంది.  ఒక పచ్చటి బృందావనం తాయారు అవుతుంది :).

So, gardening is my full-time passion these days.. trying to create a green patch in summer... working on something both me and the kid love to do.  

Day 116 ~ April 26 - Get, Set, Go........

The village library, has some very very old books and the latest editions are like a fresh breeze...

పుస్తకాలు అంటే పడి చచ్చే నాకు ఈ గ్రంధాలయం ఎంతో ఇష్టమైన చోటు.. మా ఊర్లో నాకు చాల నచ్చే విషయం ఏంటి అంటే ఒక గ్రామాభివృద్ది కమిటీ వేసుకుని డబ్బులున్న దాతలు, అమెరికాలోనో ఇంకో చోటెక్కడో ఉన్న వాళ్ళు కూడా ముందుకొచ్చి స్థలాలు, డబ్బులు, వాళ్లకి చేతనైనంత సాయం చేస్తారు.  వేరే చోట్ల లాగ అద్దె ఇళ్ళల్లో కొట్లలో ఉండవు గ్రంధాలయం, పంచాయితీ, కచేరి సావిడి, పోస్ట్ ఆఫీసు, సొంత స్థలాలు ఉన్నాయి.  దాతల సాయంతో సొంత స్థలాలు గ్రామానికి అంకితం చేస్తారు... చాల ముచ్చటేస్తుంది నాకు.. అంతకు ముందు ఈ లైబ్రరీ ఎన్నో చోట్లకి మారింది అద్దెకి... వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా ఒకో కొత్త చోటు.. వానలకి తడిచి, మారేటప్పుడు పుస్తకాలు పోయి, అట్టలూడి పోయి, కాయితాలు  పోయి చాల నష్టం జరిగేది ఇప్పుడు చాల పటిష్టమైన డాబా ఉంది.

అన్నదాత సుఖీ భావ అంటారు కాని ఆ అన్నం సంపాదించుకునే విద్యని ప్రసాదించే దాతా సుఖీభవ అని నేను అంటాను.

PS:  That is the little one in the inset on the wooden panel browsing through the magazines while I do my book hunt.

I love the latest kid collection they have... sponsor a kid to a library if you get a chance to and open windows of world to them..

Day 108 ~ April 18 - The Magic Number

పుట్టిన రోజు అంటే వారం ముందు నించి అడిగినోళ్ళకి అడగనోళ్ళకి అందరికి చెప్పి హడావుడి చేసుకునే రోజులు పోయాయి.. మన పుట్టిన రోజు మనం చేసుకోడం కంటే దాన్ని అందరు గుర్తుంచుకునే విధంగా జీవించాలి అని కోరిక పెరిగిపోతోంది, ఆ దిశగా అడుగులు వెయ్యాలి ఈ ఏడాది అని దీవిన్చేయ్యండి నన్ను అందరు.

Considering 3 is my lucky number and it comes twice in the current age of mine, I am very positive this year will see the best of me and vice versa :).

Gift myself some plants, the special for the day was that I lazed around the whole day, a bunch of buddies wished me on FB on phone and in the messengers, Caps forced me to treat myself so eventually I went ahead and did, what best way than to plant in a new corner altogether.

The plant in the inset is from the taatagaru I so liked and admired in the village, Sai Tatagaru, my cute old buddy, we had so many similarities in life, so I go pick a plant from his now abandoned house in the same pot he planted it in to keep with me as his reminder.  I am sure he would be happy wherever he is!!!

Day 103 ~ April 13 - Minnie Door

Finally, we got to stick the Minnie House stickers on my work room door, view from where she plays..

నేను పని చేసుకునేటప్పుడు ఎప్పుడు నాకు కనిపించేలాగా చుట్టూ పక్కల్లోనే ఆడుకుంటూ మధ్య మధ్యలో తన కంప్యూటర్ ని కీ బోర్డు ని నోక్కేసుకుంటూ, తిరుగుతూ ఉంటుంది చిచ్కూ, ఈ మధ్య కొంచెం సీరియస్ పని ఉంటె తలుపు వేసేసుకుని చేస్తున్న లేదంటే concentration రావట్లేదు.. అప్పుడు దూరంగా తలుపు దెగ్గర బొమ్మలేసుకుని ఆడుకుంటుంది ఎప్పుడు తెరుస్తాన అని చూస్తూ, సో అక్కడ అంటిన్చేసాం :).

Day 102 ~ April 12 - Painted

Painted the flower pots to make it a bit colorful..

చిచ్కూకి తన మొక్కలని చూసుకోడం బాగానే అలవాటు అయ్యింది, రోజు లేచి అన్ని లెక్కలు పెట్టుకుని, గుడ్ మార్నింగ్ చెప్పి ముట్టుకుని చూసి వచ్చేస్తుంది, సాయంత్రం నీళ్ళు పోసి, తరవాతే తను స్నానం చేయించుకుంటుంది. ఫోటోలో ఉన్న కుండీలు, హ్యాండ్ పంపు అన్నిటికి వరసపెట్టి రంగులు వేసేశాను.  ఎవరితో అన్న వేయిస్తే ఆ తృప్తి రాదు కదా.. ఎలాగున్నా నేను వేసాను, తను పెంచింది అంటే అబ్బో అసలు ఇదే మాకు బృందావనం లాగ ఉంది.

Day 69 ~ March 10 - Framed

The final outcome.. I simply love the nest, the bird family, the mamma bird feeding the eager babies...

నాకు ఈ స్టిచ్ కిట్స్ అంటే భలే సరదా.. Caps వాళ్ళ మమ్మీ దెగ్గర అలవాటు అయ్యింది అలా సాగిపోతూనే ఉంది.. చిచ్కూ బొజ్జలో ఉన్నప్పుడు కుట్టింది ఈ పిట్టల గూడు... నాకు ఆ బొమ్మని ఎక్కడ చూసిన భలే ముచ్చటగా ఉంటుంది, ఆత్రంగా నోరు తెరుచుకున్న ఆ బుల్లి పిట్టలు, మేతని నమిలి మింగి నోట్లో వేసి తల్లి పిట్ట, గూటికి కాపలా కాసే తండ్రి పిట్ట...  రెక్కలొచ్చి ఆ పిట్టలు వెళ్ళిపోతే ఖాళి ఐపోయే ఈ గూడు సంగతి అటుంచితే.. అవి మళ్ళీ ఇలాగే ఇంకో గూడు చేసుకుంటాయి అని ఆలోచించడం ఇంకా బాగుంది.

ఈ మధ్య ఏంటో కాని అదేదో సినిమాలో వేణు చెప్పినట్టు నేను ఏది చేసిన చిరిగ చాట అంతయ్యి, చాప అంత అయిపోతుంది..  డబల్ ఫ్రేం కట్టరా బాబు అంటే బాక్స్ ఫ్రేం కట్టిచ్చాడు, నేను ఎంచుకున్న బీడింగ్ కాకుండా వేరేది పెట్టేసి, అసలు మీరు చెప్పింది ఎమన్నా బాగుందా ఇది చూడండి అదుర్సు, బెదుర్సు అని మళ్ళీ నేను ఏమి అనలేకుండా తనకి తనే ఊదరగోట్టేసుకున్నాడు.
