The Christmas Tree

The kids all excited listening about the Christmas traditions and stuff so much so that we had to start having one from last year... we do have ornaments, one that she makes, few that we bought and essentially it is all about decorating it herself the way she wants to... the new addition this year is an elf...

.. the elf who is supposed to report me about the kiddo and recommend Santa about whether or not she should be getting what she asked for.. ;).  In reality, the kid knows very well that parents are the Santa and she had already made me buy her the gifts that I would be buying in the name of Santa :).

These kids!!!

Christmas Town

Everything becomes so festive, cheerful and full of lights during Christmas, it is as if the whole city comes to life...

The Day Begins...

Had taken the pic of the day but could not post, blame it on laziness....

Nope, we are not vegan yet but trying to cut down on milk intake, curd we can't do away so took out milk and shifted to almond for the kid.  I have noted that regular milk gives her a lot of phlegm and both of us are happy, need to figure out how to make it after going back to India though...

Her day begins with honey and pankajakasturi followed by milk....

Gift of Giving

It is that time of the season where we share our blessings with others... thank them for what they have done for us...

In India, it is Dussera where we give "maamool" and here it is Christmas.

On that note, it has become so difficult to write these days, thought of writing a little note thanking them and what they mean to us, God, the gadgets and screens with their typing have taken away the beauty of writing and I cant recognize my handwriting anymore either...

Up and About...

It has been ages since I was motivated enough to do something consistently and constantly and almost 5 years since I touched my DSLR and having fallen into the trap of a smartphone, I have begun capturing moments over the phone most of the times that I remember to take a picture in the first place...

I have begun enjoying the moment rather than capturing never to look at it again...

This is an important phase of our life when some changes are in progress, so here is an attempt to capture the life here...

Like everything else, reading books has taken a backseat... but today as I go to library to return some books, I wanted to restart my pics in US posts because this is the place I fell in love the moment I entered it, so many moments, so many memories, I volunteered here, I spent my best moments here.... my first love here in Stamford, undoubtedly one of the best library systems in US...
